Resume Cover letter References (minimum of three) Purpose of Position This position oversees the routine tasks related to venue conversions and event setups, including building stages, setting tables/chairs and installing/removing portable basketball courts, in multi-purpose public assembly venues. Provides direct supervision and leads operations crews in efficient venue conversions. Provides general maintenance and care for facility equipment. Essential Functions Supervises and assists facility crew members and student employees in venue conversions and event setups, including stages, pipe and drape, portable basketball courts, tables and chairs, light cleaning and other related tasks. Performs small event setups as needed. Serves as Manager on Duty (MOD) for assigned events, providing operational oversight and coordinating with venue departments, event staff, clients, vendors, security and other personnel. Responds to operational issues and emergencies and serves as the primary operations contact for assigned events. Provides day-to-day supervision, scheduling and management of student employees; assigns work, provides direction and training, monitors attendance and performance, ensures compliance with safety and operational procedures, and addresses staffing or performance concerns. Reviews and verifies student employee time records and assists with payroll administration. Monitors work for safety, organizes operational details and work methods, and provides on-the-job training for facility crew and student employees. Maintains venue equipment and storage rooms, and communicates effectively with venue staff, clients, event personnel, contractors, and vendors regarding operations and facility needs. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of experience setting up furniture, staging, and equipment in a public-use facility, including experience operating equipment and using processes for setting up and cleaning basketball and volleyball goals, scorers' tables, press boxes, and portable courts. Preferred Qualifications Three (3) or more years of experience in a public-use facility, including experience with the setup, breakdown, and storage of portable basketball and volleyball courts, portable staging, tables, and chairs. Experience supervising setup crews in a public assembly facility is preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Lifting and moving objects. Uses standard office equipment. Work Schedule Monday through Friday; 8:00am through 5:00pm. Requires non-traditional work hours such as nights, weekends and holidays.
