Operations Coordinator JSW Steel USA Inc - 3.6 Baytown, TX Job Details 1 hour ago Qualifications Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Full Job Description JSW Steel USA is seeking to hire an Operations Coordinator to join our team. This individual will serves as a key liaison between departments, supervisors, and various information sources within the Pipe Mill. While supports daily operations through workforce coordination, scheduling, training administration, reporting, compliance tracking, and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate manpower requests and work closely with Human Resources on staffing needs. Develop and maintain departmental schedules and post weekly staffing schedules. Assist with employee disciplinary documentation and administrative follow-up. Maintain vehicle insurance documentation and parking permit records. Track and manage departmental action items and task lists. Coordinate and monitor employees 30-, 60-, and 90-day reviews. Maintain employee job proficiency evaluations and training records. Update and manage the skills matrix, including onboarding and position changes. Document and distribute daily supervisor meeting notes. Maintain leave-of-absence calendars and communicate updates to supervisors and managers. Coordinate contract employee training prior to mill entry. Ensure third-party inspections meet all required documentation and compliance requirements. Review and track daily forklift inspection reports and maintenance needs. Maintain supervisor shift reports and operational tracking files. Support facility audit programs, including: Computer audits First aid audits Water cooler inspections Safety supply audits Air conditioning audits Assist with new employee orientation and departmental training coordination. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Plant Manager.
Qualifications:
1 or more years of related administrative, operations, manufacturing, or coordination experience. Past experiencing working in a manufacturing setting. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to maintain accurate records and confidential information. Understanding of workplace policies, procedures, and operational objectives. Experience with employee scheduling, training administration, and workforce reporting. Familiarity with safety and compliance documentation. Able to lift up to 25 lbs. Open to wear required PPE, including hard hat, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses when entering operational areas.
