Job Description:
Our Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for greeting patients or parents when they come in for appointments, answering phones, responding to text messages, checking patients in and out, and managing correspondence for referring doctors. Additionally, they will assist in creating and posting engaging social media content and will be responsible for maintaining excellent patient relations. This position works closely with the Benefits Coordinator and Financial Coordinator to help verify insurance benefits and discuss payment arrangements. Scheduling Coordinator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Answer the phones and respond to all other forms of correspondence from patients, families, dental offices, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner Oversee the schedule template to ensure appropriate patient flow is maintained Prepare referral letters and ensure they are sent to appropriate facilities in a timely manner Monitor and track analytics to ensure key metrics continue to be met Train all appropriate staff on proper scheduling guidelines Learn and maintain a strong knowledge of insurance benefits and payment processing Other duties as assigned by theDirector of Operations Scheduling Coordinator Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred 4 years of experience in customer service industry required Familiarity in healthcare or dental office preferred Excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities, both orally and in writing Impressive ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment with little supervision.
