Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for patients, ensuring appropriate time slots, facilities, and resources are available. Collaborate with physicians, surgical teams, and patients to determine the optimal timing for surgeries. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding surgical scheduling. Address patient questions, concerns, and inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner. Communicate detailed information about surgical procedures, pre-operative instructions, and post-operative care. Maintain records of all scheduled surgeries, and relevant medical documentation. Update electronic health records (EHR) and other databases accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure all necessary paperwork, consent forms, and insurance authorizations are completed and submitted as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required Proven experience in surgical scheduling or healthcare administration, preferably in a physician practice or hospital setting. Excellent customer service and computer skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Friendly, personable demeanor Detail oriented Ability to multi-task We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
