Job Description
Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping patients navigate their healthcare journey? We're looking for a Surgery Scheduler/Coordinator to play a vital role in ensuring seamless surgical experiences for both patients and providers.
What You'll Do:
As a Surgery Scheduler/Coordinator , you'll be the central point of communication for scheduling surgical procedures and coordinating all related logistics. Your work directly impacts patient care, efficiency, and overall experience. Schedule surgical procedures accurately and efficiently Coordinate with physicians, operating rooms, anesthesia teams, and facilities Communicate with patients regarding surgery dates, preparation, and instructions Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations Ensure all required documentation, labs, and clearances are completed prior to surgery Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records Serve as a compassionate resource for patients with questions or concerns High school graduate or equivalent. Medical Terminology Course desired. Former experience preferred. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Basic computer skills required. Ability to type 40 words per minute.
