Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm What work will you perform? We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Operations Coordinator to join our logistics team, specializing in heavy haul cross-border shipments between the U.S. and Mexico. You will manage inbound and outbound load coordination of heavy haul loads, ensure efficient dispatch as the primary liaison with agents, carriers, BCOs, and Mexican partners. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong decision-making, planning expertise, and excels both independently and collaboratively. This role also includes key administrative duties supporting smooth operations. Excellent communication skills are essential for success. This is a valuable opportunity to develop your expertise in heavy haul and cross-border transportation.
Essential Responsibilities:
Dispatch cross border import/export load coordinating Using Landstar's Transportation Management Systems (TMS) Act as the first point of contact for agents and Mexican carrier partners Support managed accounts and ensure compliance with policies and procedures Maintain high-level communication with agents, carriers, and customs personnel Provide continued training and guidance to Agents on Landstar Mexico processes and workflows
Required Minimum Experience and Education:
2 years of dispatch load coordination 2 years of customer service experience including switchboard operations Bilingual in
Spanish and English Preferred Experience and Education:
1 year in heavy haul transportation, cross-border dispatch or combination thereof. 6 months of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong mathematical and dimensional understanding Excellent time management and multitasking ability Superior organizational and follow-through skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
