Job Description

This position provides administrative and materials-handling support to the assigned plant location, serving as a back-up to operations and providing shift coverage as needed. The role manages receiving, inventory, and purchasing activities for plant materials, tools, and equipment while also supporting day-to-day site administration, vendor relations, and health, safety, and environmental documentation.
Responsibilities:
Plant Support Provides administrative support to the assigned plant location, including scheduling, communication, and event management, while serving as the first point of contact for vendors, contractors, and guests. Tracks shipments and receives, inspects, processes, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products within the plant and storage areas. Logs receipt of items on approved purchase orders in NetSuite, submits purchase orders for approval, and coordinates invoice payment in partnership with the Asset Manager, Procurement, and/or Plant Manager. Maintains accurate inventory records and supports procurement and reordering of plant supplies and spare parts. Conveys materials and items from receiving or storage areas to plant or production areas by hand, forklift, or related equipment. Obtains and maintains applicable operations certification to provide back-up support to the operations team during upset conditions, planned maintenance, personnel time off, or other related activities, including routine inspections and assessments of plant equipment and conditions. Company Support Completes site hazard training and orientation for contractors and visitors, once trained. Maintains up-to-date health, safety, and environmental documents in a confidential manner for audit, permitting, and other routine purposes. Collects, records, and supports the assigned plant location(s) in all daily, weekly, monthly, and less frequent reporting requests. Performs routine office maintenance and cleaning, including trash removal, vacuuming, and general office upkeep. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or technical certification preferred. Three or more years of experience in an administrative, warehouse, or plant operations support role; experience in a power generation, industrial, or manufacturing environment preferred. Knowledge of or experience with database programs such as NetSuite, Fixx, or related systems. Working knowledge of inventory tracking, materials handling, and basic plant equipment and maintenance concepts. Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
When on plant locations:
Ability to stand, twist, stoop/bend, squat, kneel, crawl, reach, push, pull, and climb stairs or ladders regularly. Able to walk moderate distances over uneven ground. Ability to tolerate remote environments, indoor/outdoor work, wildlife, possible dust, dirt, and wind, including any weather typical for all seasons in southern CA, NV, and UT. Ability to don all forms of required Personal Protective Equipment and work at heights of up to 50'. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
