The Scheduler/Verifier is a key member of the organization. This "attention to detail" position provides in-depth support for all insurance related duties of the office. This position is responsible for scheduling patients and coordinating with our mobile providers, and helping to assist in all office areas.
Duties:
First point of contact interacting with patients over the phone Schedule patients with appropriate provider Collaborate with staff and providers to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in scheduling Maintain at all times the confidentiality of any patient or employee medical, financial or personal information and other information Able to adapt to constant scheduling changes Maintain a professional manner at all times Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements:
1 year medical terminology Accuracy and organizational skills are a must Familiarity with financial plans, Medicare, PPO, DMO, Medicaid Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and a dedication to putting team first Able to work under pressure in a fast paced office
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of verifying insurance Minimum 2 years of scheduling patients Minimum 3 years of customer service Medical terminology is preferred Able to type 60 wpm with high level of accuracy Working knowledge of
