Hinton, VA 22831 Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and organized Poult Mover Coordinator to join our team in Hinton, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement and placement of poults (young turkeys) to ensure efficient and timely delivery to farms. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced agricultural environment. Responsibilities Coordinate daily poult movements from starter farms to finisher farms according to schedule. Communicate effectively with farm managers, transportation teams, and staff. Ensure all poults are handled with care during loading, transport, and unloading. Maintain accurate records of poult shipments, including quantities, times, and destinations. Monitor and report any issues or delays in poult delivery. Assist in training and supervising poult movers and related staff. Ensure compliance with all safety and animal welfare regulations. Collaborate with other departments to optimize scheduling and logistics. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in agriculture or logistics is a plus. Previous experience in poultry production, animal handling, or logistics preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or flexible hours as needed. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Physical ability to handle manual tasks related to poult movement.
