The successful candidate will be responsible for high volume scheduling, booking procedures, pre and post-op follow up appointments, insurance authorizations and ensuring that all patient records are completed timely and efficiently across multiple surgical centers. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of medical terminology and be comfortable working with both patients and physicians. Experience is necessary.
Responsibilities:
Schedule surgical procedures ensuring all necessary equipment, personnel, and facilities are available Ensure pre-operative tests, consultations, post-operative and follow-up appointments are scheduled and completed timely Review patient charts to ensure surgical center requirements are met Manage insurance verification, prior authorizations and medical necessity requirements Educate and inform patients on insurance benefits and payment responsibility Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of patient records, surgical procedures, cancellations, and changes Respond to patient inquiries and provide clear, comprehensive information to patients and families about surgery details Coordinate with physicians, surgical facilities, and other healthcare professionals to align schedules and resolve discrepanciesJob Type:
