CVMC. JOB DESCRIPTION
The Surgical Scheduler is responsible for providing medical administrative support to the entire patient care team and is responsible for the gathering and processing of appropriate information needed for the billing of all office charges and coordination of care. This position is responsible for performing multiple duties within the clinical setting all intended to facilitate the smooth operation of a medical office and related surgical/procedural activities. Duties include coordinating patient appointments, surgeries and/or other procedures, and acting as an interface between surgeons and patients. This position will maintain absolute confidentiality of all patient's records, medical treatment and diagnosis and abide with all policies and procedures.
EDUCATION
High school required. Associate Degree or its equivalent is preferred with knowledge of medical office operations. Customer service oriented. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently with frequent interruptions required. Must demonstrate prior knowledge of computer operation.
EXPERIENCE
Prefer experience with computer scheduling and/or Electronic Health Record. 1 year of administrative experience preferred.
