NMC is currently recruiting a RN in the Operating Room. The position is regular part-time (40 hours bi-weekly), hours very Mon-Fri from 6:30a-5p with evening and weekend call rotation. JOB SUMMARY
The Operating Room RN provides safe nursing care in a timely manner to patients on the assigned unit with a high degree of independence. Performs within the scope of a RN as defined by the Vermont State Board of Nursing, functions regularly as charge nurse.PRE-REQUISITES
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or enrolled in an accredited Direct Entry to Master of Science in Nursing Program with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Vermont (VT RN license or Compact State RN)Experience:
Successful completion of Surgical Services orientationCertifications Required:
BLS required and ACLS required within 6 months of hire;PALS, CNOR

1. Applies critical thinking skills and utilizes best practices and current research. Demonstrates the unit specific skills requisite for unit/patient population served.
