Housekeeping Manager

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to build and lead our Housekeeping Department. In this role, you will establish department standards, manage staff, and ensure our facility meets the cleanliness and infection control requirements of a long-term care environment. The ideal candidate has a healthcare housekeeping background, proven management experience, and is comfortable working hands-on alongside staff while leading the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Hire, train, schedule, and manage housekeeping staff Develop cleanliness and infection control standards aligned with CMS and CDC requirements Manage vendor relationships for chemicals, equipment, linen, and supplies Own and control the department budget Work alongside staff to cover shifts and maintain standards Coordinate with Nursing, Dietary, and Maintenance to keep the facility survey-ready

Qualifications & Skills:

3+ years of housekeeping or environmental services management, preferably in healthcare Working knowledge of CMS, OSHA, and CDC cleaning and infection control standards Proven vendor management and budget experience Strong leadership and communication skills Willingness to work hands-on when coverage demands it Available for on-call coverage in a 24/7 facility High school diploma or equivalent required

Pay:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
