We operate Magikid Robolab in Bellevue (Factoria), a robotics education lab serving students ages 4-12. Our programs include after-school classes, weekend courses, and camps, covering
OLLO, VEX GO, VEX
IQ, Scratch programming, and 3D modeling. Role Overview We are looking for a reliable and execution-focused Lab Operations Lead to manage daily operations and ensure our lab runs smoothly. This role is centered on operations, coordination, and execution — not business strategy or sales. You will be responsible for maintaining a stable and well-organized learning environment while coordinating between instructors, students, and parents. Key Responsibilities Daily Lab Operations Manage and maintain class schedules and enrollments Coordinate instructor scheduling and attendance Act as the on-site lead during peak hours Ensure classes run smoothly and on schedule Handle day-to-day operational issues Parent Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for parents Respond to inquiries and explain program structure Assist with scheduling and class recommendations Maintain a professional and consistent parent experience Curriculum Understanding & Instructional Support Learn and understand the curriculum (OLLO, VEX GO, VEX IQ, Scratch, 3D modeling) Explain program structure and progression clearly to parents Recommend appropriate classes based on student needs Support scheduling decisions based on student readiness In urgent situations (e.g., instructor absence), step in to support or lead basic instruction to keep classes running (training provided) Team Coordination Coordinate with instructors on scheduling and communication Support onboarding of new instructors Ensure alignment between planning and execution Execution & Support Execute established operational processes Support program and camp operations Handle routine decisions within defined guidelines Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree 1+ year of work experience (education, operations, or service preferred) Strong sense of responsibility and reliability Excellent organizational and execution skills Strong communication skills Key Requirement Ability to quickly learn and fully understand the curriculum Expected to reach a near-instructor level of understanding Comfortable handling real-time decisions and coordination Preferred Experience in education or after-school programs Teaching or tutoring experience STEM or robotics background Bilingual (English & Chinese) Work Schedule On-site in Bellevue (Factoria Mall) Must be available during after-school hours, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays Work schedules may vary based on program needs, including camps and special events Compensation & Benefits (Washington State Compliant)
Base Salary:
$55,000 - $72,000 per year Performance-based bonus based on operational metrics Paid Time Off (PTO) Accrued based on hours worked (not granted upfront) Equivalent to approximately 10 days (80 hours) per year for full-time employees Accrued on a per-pay-period basis Available for use after 60 days of employment Subject to advance approval based on operational needs Paid Sick Leave (WA Law) Accrued at 1 hour per 40 hours worked Available after 90 days of employment Up to 40 hours may carry over annually May be used for personal or qualifying family illness Paid Holidays Paid holidays may be provided Observed holiday dates may vary depending on program schedules and operational needs Employees may be scheduled to work on certain holidays Flexible Time Off / Comp Time Additional time off may be provided as compensatory time (comp time) or floating holidays Granted at management discretion Used to offset periods of increased workload (e.g., camps, peak seasons) Must be scheduled and approved in advance Additional Benefits Health insurance stipend available Paid training (curriculum + operations) Growth opportunities within a small, fast-moving team Final compensation and benefits are determined based on experience, qualifications, and role fit.
