$2,000 Hiring and Retention Bonus (T&Cs Apply) The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides direct rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). This role supports residents in improving, maintaining, or recovering the skills necessary for daily living, promoting independence, safety, and quality of life.Reporting:
This position reports directly to the Occupational Therapist and the Director of Rehabilitation Services. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with individualized occupational therapy activities to improve self-care, functional mobility, and independence. Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist. Document resident progress and response to therapy accurately and timely. Educate residents and families on adaptive strategies, assistive devices, and safety techniques. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support comprehensive care planning. Promote a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for all residents. Demonstrate compassion, respect, and professionalism in all interactions. Education and License Requirements Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution. Current Washington State Occupational Therapy Assistant License (COTA). Must be in good standing with the Washington State Department of Health. Qualifications and Skills Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation settings preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow care plans and directions from supervising OT. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative care team. Compassionate, patient, and committed to resident-centered care. Physical ability to assist residents safely with mobility and therapy activities. How toApply:
