Summary The Scoping Specialist will act as a key interface with the site acquisition team, construction and project teams, supply chain, and general contractors to define the Scope of Work (SOW) based on RFDSs, CDs, and other provided data for various company projects. This is a safety-sensitive position. Key Responsibilities Uphold the company's core value of safety across all operations. Define the Scope of Work (SOW) based on RFDSs, CDs, and other provided data for company projects. Be the key interface between the site acquisition team, construction and project teams, supply chain, and general contractors to complete company projects. Work with procurement to create the Bill of Materials (BOM) per the SOW. Work with the construction team to understand site-specific characteristics and schedule requirements for build plans. Analyze drawings, site surveys, photos, RF information, schedules, etc., to determine materials and services needed to construct a site as specified by the customer. Develop Scoping and other appropriate documentation based on customer-provided RF DSs and Construction drawings when requested. Develop and submit detailed quotes associated with SOWs and review the scope and quote for accuracy and timeliness. Execute any change of scope throughout the life of a project, including true-up requirements for scoped services and materials. Apply industry knowledge and experience to resolve issues as needed. Represent the company and participate in planning and status meetings as needed. Interpret and explain plans to administrative staff, crew, etc. Ensure the highest level of safety and quality control requirements are upheld. Must continue to work towards training and certifications for work-related jobs. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands Must be in good physical condition with the ability to routinely bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, lift 30lbs or more, lift in awkward positions, stand, and twist for extended periods. May be required to work long and unpredictable hours. Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes DOT physical, background check, and drug/alcohol testing and participate in the random testing program. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.Minimum Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Must be able to work in a team environment and be a valued member of the crew and the company. Must have knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards. Must have knowledge of wireless technology and telecommunications, with emphasis on site design, including acquisition, construction, RF, cabinet builds, and power. Must understand how to build a site from a construction and pricing perspective with industry-standard materials, and have a good understanding of engineering concepts. Working knowledge of UMTS, GSM, LTE, 5G, and Small Cell. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and have advanced computer skills.Soft Skills:
Must be able to communicate at a high level in person, by phone, and by email with team members and clients. Must be able to read, comprehend and carry out instructions. Must be self-motivated with the desire to learn new things and project a positive attitude toward others in all work-related settings. Must be able to work on a team and independently as required. Supervisory Requirements No supervisory requirements Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 5:00 pm with overtime requirements or as directed by leadership. The work schedule is subject to change depending on market conditions which may require overtime, night work and/or weekend work. Travel Depending on market location and/or conditions, travel is required 0-25% of the time. Travel requirements are subject to change. Required Education and Experience High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related trade school education preferred 4 years+ of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry or related/similar field.
