Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Master Production Scheduler to lead the planning and coordination of manufacturing activities. The Master Production Scheduler successfully minimize production costs through efficient job sequencing, batch sizing, set-up cost minimization and effective capacity planning.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the master production schedule to meet customer demand and optimize inventory levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data for production planning including Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Production and Customers.
- Analyze demand forecasts and historical data to determine production requirements
- Coordinate with Purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines
- Identify and resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues that may arise
- Utilize manufacturing principles to streamline production processes and improve efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and performance metrics
Experience:
- Proven experience in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment; experience in injection molding a plus
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Proficient in using forecasting systems and MRP system to generate accurate demand forecasts
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Familiarity with manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers
Skills:
- Production planning: Ability to develop and execute production plans based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
Forecasting:
Proficiency in using forecasting systems and MRP system to generate accurate demand forecasts.- Supply chain management: Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices, including coordinating with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
Job Type:
Full-time Duties Develop and maintain detailed production schedules using advanced manufacturing management systems such as ERP, and MRP to meet delivery deadlines and optimize resource utilization. Collaborate closely with production teams, supply chain managers, quality control, and other cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate manufacturing activities and resolve scheduling conflicts proactively. Analyze production data utilizing analytics tools to identify bottlenecks, forecast capacity needs, and implement process improvements Monitor inventory levels, material availability, and supplier performance to ensure seamless supply chain flow while maintaining optimal stock levels. Qualifications Proven experience in production management with a strong background in manufacturing management systems such asIQMS ERP
systems, or similar platforms. Expertise in production scheduling, supply chain management, and operations management within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of quality control standards and practices within a manufacturing setting. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously under tight deadlines.
