Job Description

The Training Operations Planner converts forecasted training demand into executable, capacity-balanced schedules across multiple locations while proactively managing variability, utilization, and delivery risk. Major Responsibilities Translates forecasted training demand into executable plans, incorporating hiring forecasts, onboarding needs, product launches, certification cycles, and seasonal demand Develops and maintains capacity models by location, classroom or lab type, and instructor skill certifications to support scalable delivery decisions Owns end‑to‑end training schedule execution, maintaining a single, integrated master training calendar across all locations and delivery modalities. Sequences and prioritizes training classes based on business urgency, learner readiness, instructor availability, and facility or lab constraints Coordinates closely with instructor management to align training demand with instructor certifications, balance workloads, and identify future capacity or capability gaps Resolves scheduling conflicts and last‑minute changes involving instructors, learners, facilities, or equipment to protect delivery commitments Proactively manages variability and disruptions, including absenteeism, no‑shows, instructor unavailability, travel issues, and facility or equipment downtime Publishes and communicates finalized training schedules to stakeholders and downstream systems such as LMS and registration platforms. Monitors and optimizes utilization of seats, instructors, and facilities, identifying underutilization or overcapacity risks and recommending corrective actions Tracks and reports delivery‑focused performance metrics, providing clear, decision‑ready insights to training and operations leadership. Use data to drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy and execution reliability Standardizes planning processes and assumptions identifying opportunities for improvement Supports digitization and automation of scheduling capacity and modeling Minimum Job Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in related field OR equivalent related experience Work Experience 2 years of experience in training or learning operations, scheduling, or resource coordination Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Excellent MS Excel skills Working knowledge of training operations and delivery models Basic understanding of capacity planning concepts Understanding of core training operational metrics, including fill rates, cancellations, utilization, and schedule adherence Functional knowledge of LMS and scheduling tools as a user, including data inputs, outputs, and handoffs Schedule building and maintenance skills, supporting master calendars and updates Data tracking and basic analysis, including monitoring utilization, attendance, and variances vs. plan Operational coordination skills, working effectively with instructors, coordinators, and facilities teams Clear written and verbal communication, especially when sharing schedules, changes, and status updates Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a time‑sensitive, operational environment #LI-BB1
Physical Demands:

Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
