Job Purpose:

Appropriately process inbound/outbound parts orders for use by technicians and customers.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Check in freight in order of priority Help delivery drivers unload shipments Notate any damaged shipping cases on bill of lading Inspect all sheet metal, glass or breakables for damage; make note of any exceptions on delivery receipt. Match part numbers to packing slip and accurately tag parts for customers or stock Have work area clear during peak delivery times including having parts truck moved before freight is delivered.

Outbound freight:

Double-check invoice for correct part numbers and quantities when packaging parts Package parts accordingly to eliminate damage during shipping Make sure that all necessary paper work is filled out properly; including: ship out forms, bill of ladings and address labels. Have packages/ship-outs ready by designated time Coordinate deliveries and pick-ups to make as few trips as possible. Drive responsibly, adhering to all local laws Always have current/valid driver's license, insurance card, and cell phone on your person at all times. Work with driver coordinator to meet delivery/pick up deadlines Fill out delivery/pick up log every time you leave the building After freight is checked in, put away all special order parts first, making sure to put them in the correct special order bin. When putting stock parts away, be accurate and make sure to put in correct location Take note of parts that may be in the wrong location and fix as needed Separate new stocking parts from regular stock parts, bin new parts as needed Make sure cardboard is broken down and disposed of daily Make corrections to bin locations and make tags for stock parts

Job Qualifications:

High school diploma or the equivalent Valid driver's license and a good driving record required Fork lift trained or able to be trained Lift 50 lbs and be active most of the day Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information Organized with attention to detail General mechanical skills Automotive industry experience helpful Tow motor certification helpful Good written and verbal communication skills The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
