Job Description

Description:
The Parts Shipping & Receiving Clerk verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. The Parts Shipping & Receiving Clerk is supervised by the Parts Director. Essential Functions and Duties Counts, weighs, measures items in incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates Selects containers and assembles if necessary Packs items into containers, using the appropriate spacers, fillers and protective padding Secures container and applies proper shipping labels Post weights and shipping charges, affixes postage Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages Ensures that outgoing shipments meet specifications Receives damaged or defective goods returned to establishment Receives unsold products returned by the Parts Driver Other duties as assigned. Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs. Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers. Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies. Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management. Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled. Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean.

Working Conditions:
Moderate to loud noise and exposure to outdoor weather conditions. MINIMUM Hiring Requirements High school graduate or equivalent. 18 years or older Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver's license in state of residence A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment Clear pre-employment drug screen
