Warehouse Manager About Us Wally's Distribution is a growing third-party logistics (3PL) company providing warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment services for a variety of customers. We are looking for an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Receiving & Inventory Clerk to support our warehouse operations. This position plays an important role in making sure incoming shipments are received correctly, inventory is accurately entered into our systems, and any discrepancies are identified and resolved quickly. Position Overview The Receiving & Inventory Clerk is responsible for processing incoming shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and assisting with day-to-day inventory control. This position requires strong attention to detail, computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working between the warehouse floor and computer systems and can manage multiple priorities throughout the day. Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving Process incoming shipments accurately and in a timely manner. Enter receiving information into customer and warehouse management systems (WMS). Verify products, quantities, lot numbers, dates, and other required information against receiving documents. Review receiving paperwork for accuracy and completeness. Identify and report damaged, missing, overage, or incorrect product. Communicate receiving discrepancies to warehouse management and appropriate team members. Maintain organized receiving paperwork, reports, and records. Work closely with warehouse employees to ensure received product is properly labeled and put away. Assist with coordinating inbound appointments and receiving priorities. Inventory Control Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS and customer systems. Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and location audits as needed. Research and help resolve inventory discrepancies. Verify product locations and quantities between physical inventory and system records. Assist with inventory adjustments after proper verification and approval. Monitor inventory accuracy and report recurring issues to warehouse management. Assist with lot, expiration date, and product rotation tracking when applicable. Maintain accurate documentation for inventory transactions and adjustments. Communication & Documentation Communicate with warehouse management, customer service, shipping, and receiving teams regarding inventory and receiving issues. Provide timely updates when discrepancies or delays could impact operations. Maintain organized electronic and physical records. Assist with customer requests related to receiving and inventory. Follow established SOPs and customer-specific receiving requirements. Safety & Compliance Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies. Maintain a clean and organized receiving and inventory work area. Follow food safety, quality, and compliance requirements when applicable. Immediately report safety concerns, damaged products, or potential inventory issues to management. Qualifications Previous warehouse receiving or inventory experience preferred. Experience in a 3PL warehouse environment is a plus . Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable working with computers, WMS programs, spreadsheets, and customer inventory systems. Ability to learn new warehouse and customer systems quickly. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Dependable and able to work independently while also working well with a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures depending on the season. Working Conditions Schedule may occasionally include overtime, evenings, or Sundays depending on inbound volume and operational needs.
