Full Job Description Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely shipment and receipt of goods. This position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations.

Duties:

Take measurements, weights and prepare items for packaging as needed.

• Pick, pull and pack orders.
• Moving and inventorying material.
• Maintain required product levels, and re order when needed.
• Forklift certification.
• Modification of pallets as required for secure shipment.
• Maintain a clean yard and organize inventory accordingly.
• Load and unload trucks as needed
• Assist as needed throughout the shop.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.

Skills/Qualifications:

Must have valid California Driver's License. Must be able to read a tape measure. Minimum 3 year experience in shipping receiving dept. Ability to operate forklift. Ability to measure accurately and operate drill press, grinders, air tools. Work as a team. Fed Ex, UPS computer interface programs a plus. Basic computer skills a plus. Must have mechanical aptitude.

Experience:

• Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a related field preferred
• Familiarity with order fulfillment processes and procedures
• Proficient in basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating quantities
• Knowledge of AS400 or other warehouse management systems is a plus
• Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
