Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of goods through shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, proper packaging, and timely dispatch. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse management skills, experience with warehouse distribution systems, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety. This position plays a vital role in supporting our e-commerce operations and overall supply chain effectiveness. Responsibilities Prepare and package orders accurately using appropriate materials, ensuring products are protected during transit Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and organize inventory Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 to track inventory levels, process shipments, and update order statuses Pick and pack orders efficiently using order pickers and RF scanners to meet customer specifications Load and unload trucks safely while adhering to safety protocols and company procedures Manage shipping documentation including labels, bills of lading, and customs paperwork as needed Maintain accurate stock levels through regular stocking, inventory counts, and reconciliation using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock for easy access and efficient order picking Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve any discrepancies promptly Assist with shipping & receiving tasks, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to packaging processes, order accuracy, and workflow efficiency Skills Proven experience in warehouse management systems (WMS), shipping & receiving operations, or related roles Proficiency with forklift operation, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment Familiarity with RF scanners, AS400 systems, and MRP software for inventory control Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and order fulfillment procedures Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements Knowledge of packaging standards suitable for e-commerce shipments Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members across departments Prior experience with order picking & packing, stock management, load & unload procedures This position offers an engaging environment where your skills directly contribute to our operational success.
