A Shipping or Receiving Clerk tracks all incoming and/or outgoing shipments at a company facility and checks that shipment orders are filled correctly. Uses scanning equipment to track inventory. Works in receiving to check shipments that are primarily production materials or company supplies, or checks outgoing shipments of finished products.

Unloads materials from suppliers, enters items into
Receiving Log Receiving Board:
Check in material and properly identify/tag
Receiving Board:
Issue material and move/dispatch material to next area Perform cycle counts Packages items for OV, arranges for pick up Maintains stock of supplies Receive incoming and raw materials and supplies. Examine incoming materials to verify completeness and accuracy in quantity against shipping documents. Disassembles wooden or cardboard containers and removes materials from containers. Counts, examines weighs and check against shipping documents or material transfer forms. Fill out reports to document shortages and damaged material received. Maintain records of materials and supplies received. Move goods to corresponding destination or to storage. Operate forklift and pallet jack. Drive company truck to deliver/pick up items from suppliers
