Material Coordinator CorTech - 3.1 Simi Valley, CA Job Details Contract $20 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Basic math Cycle counting inventory management ERP systems MRP High school diploma or GED Productivity software Full Job Description Position Summary The Materials Handler is responsible for ensuring the proper and timely movement of materials and products from receiving through storage, production, and shipment. This role performs a combination of physical and administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, and material distribution while following company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, stock, and distribute parts, materials, supplies, and equipment. Load and unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility. Unpack incoming goods and verify quantities and items against purchase orders or invoices. Inspect received materials and document or reject items that do not meet requirements. Maintain accurate records of received and shipped materials. Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy. Pull and distribute materials to manufacturing lines and team members as needed. Prepare materials and products for domestic and final shipment. Record weights, shipping charges, and other required shipment information. Operate material-handling equipment and powered industrial trucks as needed. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and work instructions. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Work additional hours, including weekend overtime, as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 6 months of relevant materials, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email. Ability to work with MRP/ERP systems or learn them quickly. Ability to read and follow written work instructions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic math skills. Knowledge of cycle counting and inventory procedures. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability and willingness to work daily and weekend overtime as needed. Preferred Qualifications Forklift or powered industrial truck experience. Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Experience using material-handling equipment and small hand tools. Strong attention to detail. Vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a related field.
