Job Description

Position Summary We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing and processing outgoing shipments, verifying materials and documentation, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring products are packaged and shipped accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Responsibilities Prepare and process outgoing shipments for customers, vendors, and internal transfers. Verify part numbers, quantities, serial numbers, and shipping documentation. Package materials and finished products according to company and customer requirements. Prepare packing slips, shipping labels, and other required documentation. Schedule shipments with UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, and other transportation providers. Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales regarding shipment requirements. Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on schedule. Maintain accurate shipping records and tracking information. Enter shipping transactions into the company ERP/inventory system. Track shipments and provide updates when needed. Assist with resolving shipping discrepancies, damaged shipments, and missing documentation. Inspect packaging to ensure materials are properly protected during transportation. Maintain an organized and clean shipping area. Assist with receiving, stockroom, and material-handling activities as needed. Follow company procedures for material traceability, documentation, and shipping compliance. Perform other shipping and material-control duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, stockroom, or manufacturing preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to verify part numbers, quantities, and documentation. Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP/shipping systems. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple shipments. Strong communication and organizational skills. Dependable and able to meet scheduled work hours. Ability to lift and move packages/materials as required. Preferred Experience Manufacturing or aerospace industry experience. Experience with ERP or inventory management systems. Experience preparing commercial invoices, packing slips, and shipping documentation. Experience with UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, and international shipments. Familiarity with part numbers, work orders, serial numbers, and traceability requirements. Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus. Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
