Aerospace Shipping & Receiving Clerk L•Garde is a full-service design, development, and manufacturing supplier with over 50 years of aerospace expertise. Life:
The Aerospace Shipping/Receiving Clerk's primarily role is to ensure that material traceability is maintained from Dock-to-Stock working with our vendors and suppliers. On a daily basis, the Shipping/Receiving Clerk interfaces with approved suppliers, delivery personnel, and L.Garde Buyers to ensure that materiel is received from vendors in a timely manner, sent to suppliers for outside processing, and delivered to customers per contract requirements. L.Garde utilizes Lean Manufacturing Methods to ensure a safe working environment where a premium is put on communication to ensure quality, cost and delivery goals are met. In addition, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk will support the operations as needed. Key Duties & Responsibilities Receiving Greets delivery personnel, signs for materiel, opens boxes to validate delivery vs. packing list Performs Incoming Receiving to verify the quantity of material vs. the Purchase Order (P.O.) Transfers material to Quality Control for Incoming Inspection with all required traceability documentation in a material traveller Scans all documentation and certs from suppliers, and saves the data to the shared server Enters key data into the ERP System Shipping Prepares shipments using commercial packaging best practices Works with Engineering and the Buyer for custom crates that meet all contract requirements Coordinates with sub-tier suppliers to ensure timely delivery of material to outside processing for calibration, machining, surface finish, inspection, and test Creates packing lists for traceability of materiel shipped Assists with tracking partial shipments, for timely deliveries or returns Scans all documentation, and saves the data to the shared server Technical Documentation Verifies that supplier data packs include: certificates of conformance (CoC), material traceability, inspection records (FAI), and test reports per PO requirements Updates Excel logs and daily status boards supporting team communication Scans records ensuring compliance to company policies and customer contracts Works to AS9100D policy standards with respect to Shipping & Receiving Kitting & Inventory Support Issues inventory for Lab Work Requests and Manufacturing Orders Maintains detailed material transaction records in JAMIS ERP and written Manufacturing Orders Works to AS9100D policy standards with respect to Kitting Provides Inventory physical cycle counts when requested Safety Follows all safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions to a supervisor Follows 5S principals to maintain a clean, safe, organized, and productive work area. Special Projects Inventory Cycle Count Support Special Projects as assigned Perform other operational duties as assigned
Who You Are:
Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Certifications The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. HazMat Shipping Certification a plus Experience Minimum of 2 years in shipping & receiving related role. Minimum of 2 years' experience with material handling equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software or ERP system. Experience with Jamis a plus. Experience in the Aerospace industry a plus. Skills Strong organizational skills with proficient time management skills. High attention to detail for complex part numbers, configurations, and quality requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Understands purchase orders, material traceability, chain of custody and certificates of conformance (CoC). Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. A proactive and problem-solving mindset. Fluent in written and spoken English.
