Job Description
SUMMARY:
Responsible for documenting and processing all incoming and outgoing deliveries and shipments. Clean driving record is required.FUNCTIONS
- Perform local deliveries and pickup (less than 30 miles) using the company vehicle.
- Operate manual pallet jack and electric lift.
- Examine contents of incoming and outgoing shipments and compare with records such as packing slips, Pos, and SOs to verify accuracy and conformance.
- Prepare documents such as bills of lading, shipping orders, and route materials to the necessary departments.
- Determine shipping method for materials using knowledge of shipping procedures.
- Record shipment data such as packing list numbers, weight, damage, and discrepancies.
- Confer and correspond with related departments to rectify problems such as damaged items, shortages, and non-conforming material.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Pack and receive in accordance with basic ESD standards.
- Seal, label and affix shipping documentation as required by both company and customer requirements.
- Verify accuracy of parts to customer BOM's and release jobs to production.
- Stock excess material in an organized manner, according to Bin Locations.
- Count and maintain accurate inventory.
- Communicate inaccuracies with Customer Support Manager.
- Maintain shortage reports electronically using Microsoft Word/Excel.
REQUIREMENTS
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Clean driving record; must produce DMV printout every 3 years.
- Working knowledge of basic MS Office and ability to ship material electronically through UPS, Fedex, and DHL.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time and lift at least 25 lbs.
- Detail oriented
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
- Ability to understand prints and specifications
- Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and bills of material
- Working knowledge of ESD guidelines
- Basic computer skills.
