About the Job The Mail Room & Copy Center is a locally owned Durango business helping our community with shipping, private mailboxes, printing, copying, faxing, and other business services. We're looking for a friendly, dependable and organized Customer Service & Shipping Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on position with plenty of variety - you might help a customer ship a package, set up a new mailbox, process incoming mail, complete a copy job, or answer the phone, all in the same shift. If you enjoy working with people, staying busy, and being part of a small local business, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do Provide friendly, helpful customer service Operate the cash register and process customer transactions Help customers with shipping and package preparation Pack and prepare outgoing boxes Receive and sort incoming mail and packages Set up and assist customers with private mailboxes Operate copy, print, scan and fax equipment Answer phones and assist with customer questions Perform data entry and other basic computer tasks Help keep the store organized and running smoothly Learn additional services offered by The Mail Room Become a Notary Public after hire, if needed What We're Looking For You don't need to be a shipping expert - we can teach you the business. We're looking for someone who is: Friendly and comfortable working with customers Dependable and punctual Detail-oriented and organized Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office Able to type approximately 50 WPM Comfortable handling cash and operating a register Able to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs. Willing to learn new systems and services Willing to become a Colorado Notary Public Previous retail, customer service, office, shipping, printing, or administrative experience is helpful, but a great attitude and reliability are most important.

$17.00 per hour
