Job Description
Job Summary
Receive incoming aircraft parts, materials, tooling, and supplies.
Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
Inspect incoming materials for damage, quantity, part number, serial number, and required documentation.
Process and document incoming and outgoing shipments.
Package aerospace parts and materials according to company and shipping requirements.
Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and other shipping documentation.
Maintain accurate inventory records and update ERP/MRP systems.
Track parts and materials throughout the receiving, storage, and shipping process.
Maintain part number, serial number, lot number, and traceability records when required.
Properly identify, tag, and segregate serviceable, unserviceable, quarantine, and incoming materials.
Store materials in designated locations and maintain organized warehouse areas.
Pull and stage parts and materials for production, maintenance, or customer orders.
Coordinate domestic and international shipments with carriers and freight providers.
Use UPS, FedEx, DHL, freight carriers, or other transportation providers as required.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment when authorized.
Follow FAA, OSHA, company, and hazardous-material shipping requirements.
Handle and document hazardous materials in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures.
Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and inventory reconciliation.
Investigate discrepancies involving quantities, part numbers, paperwork, or shipments.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving areas.
Work with Purchasing, Quality, Production, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve material issues.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
1-3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, materials, or inventory experience preferred.
Aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or MRO experience preferred.
Experience handling aircraft parts, materials, tooling, and components preferred.
Ability to read and verify part numbers, serial numbers, purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
Experience with inventory control and material tracking.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP inventory systems preferred.
Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including domestic and freight shipments.
Ability to maintain accurate parts traceability and documentation.
Familiarity with FAA documentation and aerospace quality requirements is a plus.
Ability to properly identify, tag, and segregate materials.
Hazmat/Dangerous Goods shipping experience preferred.
Forklift or material-handling equipment experience preferred.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office/Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced aerospace/production environment.
Ability to lift and move materials as required.
Must be able to follow safety, PPE, OSHA, quality, and company procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must maintain accurate records and meet shipping/receiving deadlines.
