Medical, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) Job Summary Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a well-established company in the manufacturing space in New Britain, CT to help them hire a Shipper/Receiver. This position plays an important role in supporting daily shipping, receiving, customer pickup, and production activities while helping ensure orders are accurately prepared and dispatched on schedule. Key Responsibilities Prepare, verify, pack, receive, and properly mark customer orders and materials. Support customer pickup and delivery activities and provide professional assistance to customers by phone and in person. Prioritize outgoing orders with management across parcel, freight, customer pickup, and company delivery channels. Coordinate incoming and outgoing orders with receiving, production, and other internal departments. Prepare completed orders for shipment and assist with staging materials and orders for production. Operate a forklift and use appropriate hand and power tools to support material-handling activities. Maintain an organized and clean shop floor, shipping area, and exterior loading area. Perform routine housekeeping duties and other shipping, receiving, and production-support tasks as assigned. Qualifications and Must-Haves Experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, manufacturing, or a related environment preferred. Basic computer skills and ability to work with shipping, warehouse, and order-processing systems. Ability to safely operate a forklift. Familiarity with hand and power tools; experience with material hardness testing equipment is a plus. Strong verbal, telephone, and general communication skills. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Ability to work effectively with coworkers, management, customers, and other departments. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds and perform work that requires prolonged sitting, standing, and walking. Ability to safely enter and exit a standard forklift, climb stairs, and work in an active manufacturing environment.
