A Shipping or Receiving Clerk tracks all incoming and/or outgoing shipments at a company facility and checks that shipment orders are filled correctly. Uses scanning equipment to track inventory. Works in receiving to check shipments that are primarily production materials or company supplies, or checks outgoing shipments of finished products.

Job Description

Overview Unload incoming trucks, process and track shipments via Supply Chain Management system and package tracking system. Verify shipment accuracy and integrity. Track incoming tissue as required by the Joint Commission [TJC] via tissue tracking software and/or procedure. Deliver and track customer orders accurately. Process all outbound shipments via the most cost effective methods, while meeting the customer�s needs. Maintain a clean and safe work area daily.
Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. AA degree preferred. Minimum one year of experience in a high-volume shipping and receiving environment preferred. Prefer at least 3 years of hospital shipping and receiving experience. Ability to load and unload trucks, carts, etc. and operates shipping equipment (manual or motorized pallet jack, fork lift, etc.) required. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel demonstrated. Prefer previous experience with Supply Chain Management system.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:
Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.
