What We Are Looking For:
Our Lakeland, FL team is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk ! The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will assist with the coordination of daily shipping and receiving functions within the Logistics Department while supporting inventory management, material movement, and transportation activities.
Here's What You'll Do:
Assist with ordering shipping and receiving materials to maintain adequate inventory levels. Maintain knowledge of proper packaging methods and shipping procedures. Maintain knowledge of common shipping and receiving equipment. Obtain and maintain

fork truck operator certification. Assist management with freight carrier relationships and performance monitoring. Coordinate carrier pick-up arrangements for domestic and international outbound shipments. Prepare and complete Bills of Lading and shipping documentation. Maintain knowledge of shipping software and carrier-specific systems. Complete all required internal and external shipping documentation accurately. Read and interpret packing slips and verify incoming shipments against received materials. Report discrepancies to the Purchasing Department and notify leadership of damaged or defective materials. Enter receiving information into Navision or SyteLine following established procedures. Distribute receiving documentation to appropriate personnel and departments. Move and track materials throughout the company using SyteLine. Assist with material movement and logistics activities as needed. Support Shipping and Receiving Assistants across all areas of the department. Promote teamwork through positive interactions with coworkers. Demonstrate FLANDERS' Core Values, Principles, Vision, and Corporate Mission. Follow all safety procedures and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times. Promote a positive company image and maintain professional relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Provide outstanding customer service. Perform work according to established company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
Here's What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of shipping and receiving experience. Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures. International shipping experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer systems. Ability to remain calm and effective in time-sensitive situations. Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions. Ability to read, write, and comprehend routine written and verbal instructions. Ability to learn, retain, and follow job-related training, operational procedures, and safety practices. Strong initiative, judgment, and decision-making skills for routine work activities.
