Material Control Manager Primary Function:
This position is responsible for receiving incoming material per the requirements of a Purchase Order or other requirement and shipping products to fulfill orders or materials to a subcontractor.
Representative Responsibilities:
1.Receive Incoming material to unpack, verify contents with the Purchase Order or other related document, and record incoming merchandise or material in E2. 2.Support the inspection of incoming parts and materials to verify conformance to engineering specifications for tolerance, quality and material finish. 3.Prepare products for shipment to customers; insure that required documentation is created & included. 4.Prepare products for shipment to subcontractors; create the SubContractor packing slip and any other related, required documents. 5.Monitor incoming & outgoing shipments by communicating w/vendors & shippers. 6.Kit & distribute parts and materials to correct locations. 7.Perform inventory counts & reporting. Insure adequate inventory levels of materials on hand. 8.Identify and document any Non-Conforming event and support Quality to disposition/resolve the incident; e.g., Vendor shipment of product(s) that do not meet requirements. 9.Identify & support implementation of process improvement(s).
Education, Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
High School or technical school graduate with a GPA of 3.5 or above heavily weighted in math with 2+ years proven, related experience in the industry. The ability to read engineering drawings to verify quality requirements for incoming inspection. Understand Lean principles, concepts & tools desired. Proven experience implementing & sustaining Lean concepts would be a strong plus. Proficiency in use of ERP and/or MRP systems required, preferably JobBOSS. Must have a valid FL Driver's license and driving record with no moving violations in the last 5 years. Physical Requirements Person must be able to lift up to 20lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally using safe lifting techniques and/or assistance. Must be able to climb a safety ladder to access top shelves of product racking. Must have corrected 20/20 vision. Must be mobile without assistance and be able to stand, package and move materials.
