The Shipping Clerk at Axium Packaging is responsible for ensuring that all carriers are checked in and assigned a door for loading accurately and on time. This position will be responsible for maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Shippers will also need to be accountable for the accuracy and readiness of customer orders and deliver them in a timely manner.Qualifications:
Effective communication, organizational, and math skills. Ability to work in a team environment, but also independently using time productively with little supervision. Experience using computers and applicable software. Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fields. Ability to work together in a team environment. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills. Responsible for keeping track of controlled SOP documentation daily.Job Responsibilities:
- Check in carriers and assign dock doors for loading.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Verify customer orders for accuracy, readiness, and overall product quality.
- Prepare shipping paperwork and required shipment documentation.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Follow inventory rotation procedures, including first-in, first-out practices.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Follow all company safety procedures and use required safety equipment.
- Meet productivity, accuracy, safety, and security standards.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications
- Fluent in English, Bilingual a plus
- Prior shipping office experience.
