At least 1 year of related shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred. Ability to prioritize workload and facilitate on-time shipment of finished goods. Ability to accurately verify part numbers, quantities, product finishes, order numbers, and shipping documentation. Ability to operate equipment and machinery used to move, convey, or hoist shipments. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, and occasionally lifting or moving more than 50 pounds. Fast learner who is hardworking, punctual, dedicated, and responsible. Ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment near moving mechanical parts and occasional loud noise. About the Shipping & Receiving Associate Role As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, your responsibilities will include: Identify, pick, and visually verify finished goods for shipment according to pick lists and work orders, ensuring accuracy of part numbers, quantities, product finishes, and order numbers. Process outgoing shipments using shipping computer systems and software for ground and LTL services. Prepare, package, and document outgoing materials to ensure products are ready for safe and accurate shipment. Build skids for truck shipments by selecting the appropriate stacking sequence and packing materials, including wrap and strap, skid packs, and crates. Compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measurements of incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records. Include required product information, identifying information, and shipping documentation with each order. Operate machinery and equipment to move, convey, or hoist shipments between shipping and receiving platforms, storage areas, and work areas. Stage loading and unloading areas with the appropriate equipment, materials, and available space. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies to support daily shipping operations. Maintain shipping records and provide tracking or shipping history information as needed. Analyze inventory movement and bills of materials to help ensure accurate inventory. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Physical Demands and Work Environment Continually stand for extended periods of time. Continually walk throughout the warehouse and shipping areas. Frequently work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Work in an environment where noise levels may occasionally be loud. Typically work in an ambient-temperature warehouse environment.
