The Visual Pak Companies Shipping & Receiving Position Purpose/Summary:
Primary function of this position is to provide shipping and receiving support to manufacturing, planning, and quality and warehouse operations. Direct Reports None Position Responsibilities-Tasks-Deliverables An individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. All duties as assigned and the following specific activities. Prepare shipping documents, receiving documents and contracts. Inform customers by mail or telephone confirmation numbers for delivery's and shipments, shipping and receiving dates, and any anticipated delays. Maintain shipping and receiving dock schedules. Learn and stay in compliance with protocols and SOP's. Manage time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Communicate to the Shipping-Receiving Manager all or any issues found in the Shipping-Receiving office. Operate a forklift to load, unload and move materials, as needed. Analyze and resolve, or assist workers in solving daily work problems Performing day-to-day tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. Processing Information — compiling, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data. Documenting/Recording Information — entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form. File copies of orders received, shipments and post orders on records. Maintain communication with planners and customers. Learning and using customer's databases - SAP and Digital Supplier. Small pack shipments UPS, FedEx. Expected to be exposed to/trained in handling hazardous materials with annual refresher training. Maintain dock/door status (communicate w /VPL drivers)Benefits:

H.S. Diploma or GED Strong Mathematical abilitiesExperience :
1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment or in a similar role. Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a forklift. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Technology/Software (years): Strong Microsoft Office Proficiency (Word, Excel) Shipping software (UPS, FEDEX) experience strongly preferredCommunication:
Must have good communication skills (both verbal and written) Must have ability to work well under pressure Bilingual English/Spanish preferredPhysical Capabilities Strength:
Must be able to regularly lift 55 lbs.Movement:
