The Country Butcher, LLC is a beef processing facility seeking an individual to fill our Shipping Attendant/Clerk position. The responsibility of this position is to record every detail of the order, from packing items into containers, labeling them and seeing the product is shipped correctly and timely to avoid bad deliveries or lost goods. Duties Prepare and process outgoing shipments using warehouse management systems. Must be able to compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list. Good math and computer data entry skills. Loads and unloads raw material and/or finished goods from trucks and/or other freight hauling vehicles. Safely moves and stacks materials between designated locations within the facility. Confer or correspond with management to rectify problems, such as damage, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications. Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as hand trucks, conveyor, or sorting bins. Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Examine contents and compare with records, such as invoices or orders to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment. Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare product for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools and postage meter. Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory in stock. Responsible for collecting and acting upon shipping releases as directed by your manager or company policies and procedures. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. Responsible for communicating daily with all levels of employees to assist in resolving problems and achieving company goals. Perform all duties in a safe manner. Various other responsibilities as needed and determined by the Management Team. Experience High school diploma or associates degree in math/accounting classes. Previous experience in shipping is a plus, but not mandatory. An eye for detail. Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics roles with a focus on shipping & receiving Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and ERP systems Hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred) Strong understanding of shipping logistics, international trade regulations, and trade compliance standards Excellent data entry skills coupled with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately Prior experience in order picking & packing within a fast-paced environment is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards Join us as a Shipping Clerk if you're ready to bring energy into a critical role that keeps our supply chain moving smoothly! Pay:
$23.27 - $28.02 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
