Description:
Position Summary The Shipping/Receiving Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely movement of materials into and out of the warehouse. This position performs shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and material handling activities while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and accuracy. The Operator works closely with the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator to ensure customer orders, production materials, and inventory transactions are completed efficiently.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Shipping & Receiving Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts and other equipment. Receive incoming materials and verify quantities. Pick, stage, package, and prepare customer shipments. Complete shipping and receiving transactions accurately. Label materials and maintain proper documentation. Material Handling Transport materials to production and warehouse storage locations. Organize inventory in designated locations. Maintain proper stock rotation (FIFO). Perform daily equipment inspections. Inventory Assist with cycle counts. Report inventory discrepancies. Maintain inventory accuracy through proper scanning and documentation. Safety & Housekeeping Follow all safety procedures. Wear required PPE. Maintain clean work areas. Report unsafe conditions immediately. Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Requirements:
Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Warehouse experience preferred. Forklift experience preferred. Ability to use handheld scanners and basic computer systems. Good attention to detail. Dependable attendance. Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, squat, reach, and climb as required. Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely. Work in warehouse environmental conditions.
