Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grain Elevator Scale Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately weighing, recording, and managing grain transactions at the elevator scale station. Your expertise will ensure precise inventory tracking, seamless shipping and receiving operations, and efficient order fulfillment. Responsibilities Operate and maintain the elevator scale system to weigh incoming and outgoing grain shipments accurately. Record weight data meticulously using inventory management software and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. Assist with shipping logistics by coordinating load & unload activities, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of goods. Manage data entry tasks related to inventory management, order picking, packing, and stock levels. Support warehouse distribution activities by preparing shipping & receiving documentation and verifying trade compliance with international trade regulations. Utilize RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and order pickers to load & unload materials safely and efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to shipment status, order fulfillment, and inventory levels. Collaborate with warehouse staff on order fulfillment processes including picking & packing, stocking, and order picker operations. Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including inbound/outbound shipments, inventory adjustments, and safety inspections. Qualifications Previous scale clerk experience preferred. Previous experience in warehouse operations or a similar role within a distribution center environment. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and ERP systems. Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, order fulfillment processes, and international trade regulations. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for weighing and inventory purposes. Experience operating forklifts, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment; forklift certification is preferred. Excellent data entry skills combined with attention to detail for maintaining precise records. Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and external partners. Familiarity with e-commerce packaging procedures and order picking techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.
