Job Summary Probation Officer for the Benton County Probation Department will be responsible for supervision of clients, both juvenile and adult. The officer will supervise and maintain an assigned caseload of clients with direct supervision including office, and home visits (with assistance from police), complete reports for the Court as directed, supervise drug screens, attend Court Hearings, testify as needed, and file violations and reports with the Court and/or Prosecutor's Office. Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Bachelor's Degree required State certification as Probation Officer by the State of Indiana with completion of all certification requirements within six months of hire Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Strong writing skills Work well with the public, attorneys, other agencies, and clients Ability to handle situations with professionalism while addressing clients' concerns, ensuring completion of terms, and holding probationers accountable
