Hotel Overview:
Located in the heart of downtown Fairmont New Orleans will be an impressive new addition to Fairmont's luxury portfolio, offering 250 luxury guest rooms, four food & drink venues, a rooftop pool with expansive views of the city, more than 19,000 square feet of function space, and a 10,000 square-foot spa. This property is destined to become an illustrious destination in the Central Business District, nearby the city's renowned and historic French Quarter. Job Description Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments, deliveries, and inventory for accuracy and quality Match received products against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documentation Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, damages, or quality concerns promptly Accurately record and process receiving documentation in inventory and accounting systems Coordinate delivery distribution to appropriate hotel departments in a timely manner Maintain organized receiving areas, storage rooms, and documentation files Ensure compliance with hotel purchasing procedures, inventory controls, and safety standards Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and product organization as assigned Support proper handling and storage of food, beverage, and operational supplies in accordance with sanitation and safety standards Collaborate with vendors, Purchasing, Finance, Culinary, and operational departments to support efficient hotel operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of loading dock and receiving areas Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or carts safely and responsibly as needed Uphold luxury hospitality standards through professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail Qualifications Previous receiving, warehouse, inventory, purchasing, or hospitality operations experience preferred Hotel, restaurant, or luxury hospitality experience preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work accurately with numbers, invoices, and inventory records Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn inventory or purchasing systems Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Professional demeanor and reliability required High school diploma or equivalent preferred Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
