This position plays a vital role in keeping production running by managing incoming materials, preparing outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and processing product returns. What You'll Be Doing As a Shipping & Receiving Specialist , you'll: Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, and specification compliance Load, unload, stage, and organize incoming and outgoing freight Prepare, package, and label outbound shipments Generate shipping documentation and freight carrier paperwork Schedule carrier pickups and monitor shipments through delivery Maintain organized warehouse inventory and replenish storage locations Process Returned Merchandise Authorizations (RMA) and returned products Inspect returned merchandise, document findings, and coordinate repairs, replacements, or restocking Maintain accurate inventory records using barcode scanners and inventory software Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain documentation for reporting and audits Support overall warehouse organization and continuous improvement initiatives What We're Looking For Successful candidates typically have: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 3 to 5 years of warehouse, shipping & receiving, inventory control, or related experience Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with appropriate equipment or assistance Comfortable standing and walking throughout the workday Preferred Qualifications Forklift certification OSHA safety training Quality inspection experience Experience with inventory management systems and barcode scanning technology Benefits May Include Benefits vary by employer and eligibility status but may include: Competitive pay based on experience Health, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Professional development opportunities Stable, long-term employment Opportunities for career growth Why You'll Love This Opportunity Competitive starting wage of $18.00-$20.00/hour Stable full-time schedule Variety throughout your day with shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse responsibilities Opportunity to build advanced warehouse and logistics experience Modern manufacturing environment Work with ERP systems and inventory management technology Join a growing company where organization and accuracy are highly valued Long-term career potential with opportunities to grow into warehouse leadership or inventory management Real Talk This is much more than a basic shipping position.
