Role:
The Shipping Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of outgoing shipments within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for coordinating the preparation, packaging, and dispatch of products to meet customer orders and delivery schedules. The Shipping Clerk ensures all shipping documentation is accurate and complies with company policies and regulatory requirements. By maintaining organized records and utilizing warehouse technology, the Shipping Clerk supports inventory control and helps minimize shipping errors. Ultimately, this role contributes to customer satisfaction by facilitating timely and precise order fulfillment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Proficiency in operating electric pallet jacks, pallet jacks, and forklift. Basic knowledge of bar code technology and inventory tracking systems. Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and labels accurately. Must be able to obtain forklift certification
Responsibilities:
Prepare and package products for shipment according to company standards and customer specifications. Operate electric pallet jacks, pallet jacks, and forklift to move and track inventory within the warehouse. Verify shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing lists, to ensure accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to fulfill orders through order picking and order filling processes. Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory movements using bar code scanning technology. Inspect outgoing shipments for quality and compliance with safety regulations. Communicate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and resolve shipping issues. Assist in general warehouse duties to support overall operational efficiency. Any other duties as assigned. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external carriers.
