KC Headsets is a small aviation headset repair business in Joplin, Missouri. We are looking for a dependable, organized person to help with the day-to-day operation of our repair shop. The primary responsibilities of this position will be receiving incoming customer headsets and preparing completed headsets for shipment. As time allows, we will also train this person to perform basic headset repair and shop work. No aviation or headset repair experience is required. We will provide training. Responsibilities Receive and open incoming customer shipments Check in and organize customer equipment Prepare and package completed repairs for shipment Create customer invoices in QuickBooks Online Create shipping labels and maintain shipping records Take outgoing packages to a local UPS location at the end of the workday Perform basic headset repair and shop tasks after training Help keep the shop, shipping, and receiving areas organized Assist with other day-to-day shop tasks as needed What We're Looking For More than anything, we're looking for someone who is dependable, thorough, and willing to learn. The right person should : Pay close attention to details Be comfortable working independently Be comfortable using computers and learning new software Be comfortable working with their hands and learning basic repair tasks Be able to follow established processes consistently Notice when something doesn't look right and ask questions Be trustworthy with customer property and business information Have reliable transportation Schedule Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week. This is an afternoon position, approximately four hours per day, Monday through Friday. The workday will generally end with taking the day's outgoing packages to a local UPS location.
