Manufacturing and Shipping Associate for Natural Skincare Brand - Part Time/Temporary

Blissoma is seeking a new Manufacturing and Shipping Associate to help our herbal studio run smoothly on a daily basis by filling and finishing our original, organic, plant-based skincare products products and shipping packages to clients. Duties will be split between our manufacturing and fulfillment operations. This position also assists with other tasks to keep the studio operating smoothly such as receiving inventory, putting out recycling and trash, and inventory counts. This position offers some flexibility and is a part-time seasonal position lasting through the end of June at approximately 25-35 hours per week during regular business hours starting at 9 AM each day. Hours worked will vary from 6-8 hours per weekday. Mondays are our busiest day and Fridays are generally a lighter work day. June 12, 15, 16, 17, and 18 will be required work days so please do not apply if you cannot work those days. We are happy to consider people who do a great job for longer employment. Our ability to offer that is determined by our ongoing orders and the quality of work performed. The ideal individual will have an excellent work ethic, pleasant personality, strong ability to listen and take direction, versatility and adaptability, and excellent ability to pay attention to detail and achieve accuracy. We need someone with good hand/eye coordination who learns tasks quickly. Labeling products requires that you be able to align the label and smooth it on with good technique. Having previous experience in roles that require you to do some sort of detailed work with your hands will serve you well for this type of task. (visual arts, pastry making, knitting/crochet, sewing, playing musical instruments, wood carving, assembling/painting models, electronics or jewelry repair, etc) The Shipping and Manufacturing Associate will work with the rest of our team to keep orders flowing to our customers in a timely, accurate, trouble free fashion and maintain an tidy, well-organized studio environment with good product turnover. We require a cooperative, positive attitude to fit in with our company culture of mutual support and teamwork. Availability in the range of 9 AM to 5 PM weekdays. Ability to work approximately 25-35 hours per week, varying amounts per day as tasks dictate. Mature, responsible, reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and spend several hours each day working on your feet doing physical tasks. Experience working in a laboratory or kitchen environment required. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn shipping software required. Experience with online shopping cart systems a major plus. Prior experience with shipping packages through carriers like USPS, UPS, Fedex, and DHL a major plus. International shipping experience a major plus. Enthusiasm for holistic health and wellness and knowledge about herbs, skincare and skin health a major plus. Emotionally intelligent, kind personality. Detail-oriented. High degree of accuracy in accomplishing tasks. Resiliency in overcoming challenges, and determination to succeed. High school graduate or GED required. Ability to work on site at our St. Louis city production studio. Ability to manage working in an open auditory environment with a variety of sounds required.
