Job Description

GMF is seeking a dependable and motivated Driver / Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Valdese, NC. This position combines shipping and receiving, production support, and scheduled deliveries between our Valdese facility and our sister facility, Master Machining, Inc., in Wilmington, NC. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, safety-conscious, and enjoys a combination of driving and hands-on work in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Safely transport parts and materials between Valdese and Master Machining in Wilmington Complete approximately two round-trip deliveries per week (approximately 4.5 hours each way) Clean and prepare machined parts for shipment Package finished products according to company standards Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying shipments, organizing inventory, and preparing outgoing orders Load and unload materials using a forklift Perform routine inspections of the company vehicle before and after trips Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance and service records Keep the company vehicle clean, washed, and presentable at all times Report any vehicle maintenance or repair needs promptly Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Assist with general shop and production duties as needed Qualifications Valid North Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record Previous forklift operating experience required Ability to safely load and unload materials independently Safe and responsible driving habits Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience with shipping and receiving processes preferred Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable driving for extended periods Manufacturing or warehouse experience is a plus Dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience $12-$20/hr Full-time, stable employment Clean, late-model company work van provided for all deliveries Health insurance Company 401(k) with employer match Paid holidays Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive team environment If you're an experienced forklift operator with a strong work ethic who enjoys both driving and hands-on work, we'd like to hear from you.
