As a leader in the packaging industry, Philpac, a local family-owned business, celebrated its 40thanniversary in September of 2022. As a packaging supplies company, Philpac initially sold packaging supplies and boxes made by others but, was introduced to manufacturing by Conelly Container. In the early 1990's, Philpac outgrew its building in downtown Buffalo, and moved to their first property on Military Road in Kenmore, New York in 1993. In 2005, Philpac was asked to make some crates for a customer and found themselves in the wood business. Due to the new wood business, Philpac acquired their second property in Pendleton, New York. With around 80 employees between both locations, Philpac's owner, along with upper management take pride in taking care of their employees by offering competitive wages, retirement savings, multiple options for health coverage, and other great benefits employees deserve to get from their employers. Bringing together your passion and ours The Shipping and Receiving Associate reports to the Warehouse Manager. It is the primary responsibility of the Shipping and Receiving Associate to pull products from inventory in order to satisfy customer requests. He or she will also prepare the product for shipping to the customer's location. The primary responsibilities of this position include: Operates forklift to load/unload trucks. Pull orders from inventory to meet customer needs. Perform inventory control, including periodic physical inventory counts. Move materials to optimize available space. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Follow all company procedures and policies. Other duties as assigned. Bringing your story to ours A qualified applicant will contribute the following: Education A High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. Experience A minimum of two years working in a warehouse. Experience operating a forklift for a minimum of two years. An understanding of corrugated materials from previous experience. Skills/Abilities Ability to calculate simple math problems (quantities, sizes, etc.). Good organizational and time management skills. Lifting capacity of 25 to 50 pounds. Attention to detail. Must have reliable transportation.
