Company Overview York Industries is the expert in small synchronous drives, with over 80 years of success in manufacturing custom and standard timing pulleys, gears, gear racks, and custom assemblies, and as a supplier of timing belts. Job Description We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This position will be responsible for the safe and timely shipment of products, as well as the accurate and timely receipt of products.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare products for shipping by accurately selecting the appropriate packaging materials, including boxes, crates, pallets, and protective padding, to ensure safe transportation and delivery. Perform visual inspections of products before packaging to identify any defects or discrepancies. Ensure that products meet the company's quality standards and address any issues as needed. Receive shipments from suppliers or carriers and process according to established procedures Work efficiently to meet daily packaging targets while maintaining attention to detail. Identify opportunities to streamline packaging processes and suggest improvements to enhance overall efficiency. Keep track of packaging materials inventory levels and notify the supervisor when reordering is necessary. Maintain a neat and organized packing area to facilitate efficient operations.scanning packages, etc. Maintain a clean and organized work area Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required Min. 2 years of experience in shipping or inventory. Experience with an ERP. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic computer skills for data entry and digital documentation. Effective communication skills for collaborating with various teams. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently.

PM Monday-Friday Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
