High SchoolResponsibilities Assist the Shipping Coordinator with all aspects of the shipping process. Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with best commercial practices, customer requirements, and applicable MIL-STD packaging requirements. Assist with MIL-STD 129R and other military packaging and labeling requirements. Prepare shipping labels, documentation, dispatches, and other required shipping records. Work with shipping and packaging systems, including MIL-PAC labeling systems. Schedule shipments and coordinate logistics with carriers, vendors, and customers. Track incoming and outgoing shipments and provide updates to applicable departments, including Contracts and Purchasing. Communicate with customers, vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipping and logistics requirements. Maintain accurate records of shipments, including weights, dimensions, photographs, shipping documentation, and other required information. Manage and maintain inventory levels of shipping materials and supplies. Load and unload parts, materials, and packages using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when qualified. Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient shipping and receiving work environment. Assist the department with other shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics activities as needed.
